Ming Yu has had a diverse range of work experiences, starting in 2015 as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Following that, Ming served as a Summer Research Intern at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center in 2016 and 2017. In 2018, Ming worked as a Machine Learning Research Intern at Tencent AI Lab. Ming then joined Citadel Securities in 2019 as a Quantitative Research Intern and continued to work there in 2020 as a full-time Quantitative Researcher.
Ming Yu's education history includes a combination of degrees and certifications. In 2010, Ming Yu obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematical Statistics and Probability from Peking University. Ming then pursued further studies at the University of Chicago, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Statistics in the years 2014 to 2016. Ming then continued their education at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Statistics and Econometrics from 2016 to 2020. During the same period, Ming also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Booth School of Business. In addition to the degrees, in July 2018, Ming obtained a certification in Deep Learning through the Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera Course Certificates.
