Xinmei Niu's work experience includes being a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities since September 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2013 to June 2019. In this role, they focused on the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider, utilizing Monte Carlo simulations and data-driven techniques to optimize event selection and categorization. They also interpreted data using statistical inference tools. Additionally, Xinmei worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at CERN from June 2014 to January 2018, where they developed workflows for real-time monitoring and integrated modules into the CMS Data Quality Monitoring framework. They also developed a novel method for online energy reconstruction using C++.
Xinmei Niu completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics at the University of Science and Technology of China from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2019.
