Yao Ming

Yao Ming has a diverse work experience in various companies and educational institutions. Yao currently works as a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities since 2022. Prior to this, Yao held the position of Senior Research Scientist. ML/NLP at Bloomberg LP from 2020 to 2022. In 2019, they worked as a Research Intern at Alibaba Group for a period of three months. Yao also completed a Research Internship at Bosch USA in 2018, where they developed interpretable deep learning models for text and sequence data and visual analytics solutions for steering deep sequence models. Additionally, they served as a Visiting PhD Student at New York University from January 2018 to June 2018. Lastly, Yao had a Research Assistant Internship at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2015 to September 2015, where they worked in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Yao Ming's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor's degree (second degree) in Economics, both obtained from Tsinghua University from the years 2012 to 2016. Yao then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 2016 to 2019.
