Pablo Salame is Co-Chief Investment Officer at Citadel. In addition to overseeing the firm’s investment strategies alongside Citadel CEO and Co-CIO Ken Griffin, Pablo leads the firm’s developed and emerging market credit strategies and convertible arbitrage activities as Head of Global Credit. He also serves on Citadel’s Portfolio Committee.
Prior to joining Citadel in 2019, Pablo held a variety of leadership positions during his more than two decades at Goldman Sachs, most recently serving as Vice Chairman of the firm and Co-Head of Global Markets, a role he held from February 2008 until his departure in 2018. Pablo’s previous roles include Head of European Equities Trading, Co-Head of Global Credit and Global Co-Head of Emerging Market Debt. He also co-chaired the firm’s Partnership Committee and Firmwide Investment Policy Committee. He began his career at Citicorp in Ecuador.
Pablo serves on the advisory boards of the Carney Institute for Brain Science and the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Brown University.
