Tore Laatun

Tore Laatun has accumulated a diverse range of work experience in the engineering and technical documentation services industry. Tore has worked as a Mechanical Lead & Senior Project Manager at Citec Group, where they provided industrial engineering solutions for plants and products. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Wärtsilä i Norge, focusing on gas solutions and managing various filter and pump packages for the SHELL DLNG project. Tore also worked as a Product Responsible Engineer and Senior Mechanical Engineer at National Oilwell Varco, where they provided integrated processing, production, and pumping equipment to customers worldwide. Tore gained experience in marine-based LNG midstream infrastructure as a Mechanical Lead at Golar LNG, contributing to the conversion of an LNG Carrier into a Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FLNG). Tore also has experience in project management and delivery of pumps and related equipment in the oil & gas market, having worked at Delta-p Pumpe og Kompressor Systemer AS. Tore was the Department Manager of Oil/Gas at EPTEC Energi AS and held various roles, including Project Manager, Responsible Engineer, and Application Engineer at Align Eureka Pumps. Tore began their career at TMC - Tamrotor Marine Compressors AS, serving as the Department Manager and Regional Sales Manager in China. Tore started as a Salgingeniør at Sønnico Inst. Avd. Process Controll and later became a Project Manager at Berendsen, now known as Servi Group. Tore's work experience spans multiple industries and positions, showcasing their expertise in mechanical engineering, project management, and technical documentation.

Tore Laatun completed their education from 1977 to 1980 at Bø Videregående skole, where they did not obtain a specific degree or field of study. Later, from 1983 to 1986, they attended Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge (Telemark Ingenør Høgskole) and earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in mechanical engineering. In addition to their formal education, they obtained the PRINCE2® Foundation - Internasjonal prosjektledersertifisering certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice in June 2018.
