Billy Sainz

Billy Sainz serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Citizens Medical Center since February 2008, where responsibilities include establishing and overseeing all information security, cybersecurity, and IT risk management programs. In the role of IT Manager, Sainz has overseen a network of over 1200 professionals and implemented essential security programs to enhance information security. Previous positions at Citizens Medical Center include IT Operations Manager, where Sainz managed a $1M annual budget and acted as IT project manager during Hurricane Harvey, and Information Operations Technician, overseeing over 800 user accounts and ~600 computer systems. Prior military experience includes serving as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy from July 2005 to January 2008, receiving commendations for technology training. Billy Sainz holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management, along with a Bachelor of Applied Science and an Associate of Science in Computer Science.
