Amethyst J. Davis

Amethyst J. Davis is a founder and leader in the digital news media landscape, currently overseeing the growth of Harvey World Herald and contributing to City Bureau as a documenter. With a focus on local news and public information, Amethyst has actively participated in various journalism and public policy initiatives, serving as a Knight Foundation Grantee at the NICAR 2021 conference, a Casey Fellow with the National Association of Black Journalists, and completing intensive research programs at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. Amethyst's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from New York University, alongside advanced programs in data and policy and media product strategy.
