Joshua Bach

Joshua Bach, CPA has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Joshua began their career as a Senior Audit Manager at Arnett & Foster, PLLC, where they worked from 1999 to 2008. In this role, they managed audits for a diverse range of clients and developed audit plans.

Following their time at Arnett & Foster, PLLC, Bach joined MRC Global as a Financial Reporting Manager from 2008 to 2011. In this position, they were responsible for preparing financial statements for internal and external users, ensuring compliance with professional standards and reporting guidelines.

Since 2011, Bach has been with City National Bank in various leadership roles. Joshua served as the First Vice President and Controller from 2011 to 2021, overseeing the operations of the Accounting Department and managing the preparation and distribution of financial statements. Joshua then transitioned to the role of First Vice President and Director of Finance, where they currently oversee the overall operation of the Finance area, including financial analysis, budgeting, and acquisitions.

Throughout their career, Bach has demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, income taxes, acquisitions, and audit management. Joshua is a skilled leader who excels in understanding business results and trends to support decision-making.

Joshua Bach, CPA holds a Master's degree in Accounting from West Virginia University, which they obtained from 1998 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at West Liberty University, where they earned a BSBA in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from 1994 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Joshua has obtained various certifications throughout their career. Joshua holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant certification from the AICPA, which they obtained in July 2012. Joshua also has an XBRL U.S. GAAP Certificate from the AICPA, obtained in September 2017. Joshua has further expanded their skills through online courses, including "Connected Through Learning | Using XBRL" from Workiva in May 2022, "Excel Fundamentals for Data Analysis" from Coursera in June 2022, and "Data Visualization in Excel" from Coursera in August 2022.
