Kim Olson

Kim Olson has extensive work experience in HR, starting in 2005 as an HR Student Assistant at Associated Students California State University. Kim then worked as an HR Intern at Berry Petroleum Company in 2007 before becoming a Grad Assistant at San Diego State University in 2008. In 2009, they worked as a Research Assistant at San Diego State University Foundation. From 2010 to 2016, Kim worked at Consolidated Investment Group as a Sr. HR Generalist, where they managed various HR programs and processes. Since 2016, they have been working at City Light & Power, Inc., initially as an HR Manager and currently as the Director of HR.

Kim Olson completed an MBA in Human Resources at San Diego State University from 2008 to 2009. Before that, they earned a BS in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting at California State University, Chico, from 2003 to 2007. In addition to their degrees, Kim obtained several certifications, including the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in March 2015, the Professional Human Resources Certificate from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in November 2012, and another SHRM-CP certification in March 2015.
