Rani Lege

Rani Lege currently serves as the Assistant to the Mayor for the City of Abbeville, a position held since October 2022. Prior to this role, Rani was the Marketing and Admissions Director at Vermilion Healthcare Center from January 2022 to September 2022. Rani's extensive experience at the Lafayette Economic Development Authority (LEDA) spanned eight years, during which Rani held the titles of Director of Project Development, Project Coordinator, and Project Associate. Rani began a career in education as a Teacher with the Acadia Parish School Board from January 2009 to June 2012, followed by a teaching role with the Vermilion Parish School Board from June 2012 to October 2013. Rani earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette between 2004 and 2008.
