Sonia Frederick

Sonia Frederick has extensive experience in risk consulting, currently serving as a Manager in Advisory Forensics for State and Local Government at KPMG US since June 2015. Previously, Sonia held positions as Senior Associate and Associate in Risk Consulting, focusing on regulatory compliance and operations. Sonia is also actively involved in local governance as a Common Councilmember for the First Ward in Albany, New York, where responsibilities include chairing the Finance, Assessment, and Taxation Committee and participating in multiple committees related to public safety, ethics, and COVID-19 recovery. Earlier experience includes a role as a Member Specialist at SEFCU and an educational background with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from the University at Albany.
