Steven Luu

Steven Luu, P.E. is an experienced senior project manager currently working for the City of Arcata, having held the position since February 2024. Steven has extensive experience as a project management consultant at SL Consulting Services, Inc. since February 2018, specializing in the entitlement, design, and construction of cannabis projects across California. Prior project management roles include overseeing a $13 million renovation of a childcare facility at Cal Poly Humboldt and managing land use entitlements at Manhard Consulting Ltd, focusing on cannabis-related projects. Earlier in Steven's career, design engineering work was completed for school and hospital campuses at Eriksson Engineering Associates Ltd, along with various scaling project management responsibilities across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. Steven earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
