Susan Brooks has over 15 years of experience in finance and administration roles. Susan started their career at Management & Training Corporation in 2004, serving as a Finance Manager before being promoted to Director of Finance & Administration in 2008. Susan held this role until 2015 when they joined the City of Astoria as the Director of Finance & Administrative Services. In 2023, they were promoted to Assistant Director of Finance, a position they currently hold.

Susan Brooks earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on accounting and finance from the UNM Anderson School of Management. In addition, they obtained a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Oregon Board of Accountancy in June 2001.
