The City of Aventura was incorporated on November 7, 1995 with a commissioner-manager form of government, combining the political leadership of its elected officials with the executive experience of its City Manager. The City provides responsive, cost-effective and innovative local government services to its citizens.

Situated on the northeast corner of the Miami-Dade/Broward County line, its convenient location offers easy access to downtown Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
