Robert York

Robert York has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Robert currently works as a Senior Engineer at the City of Bellevue, Washington, starting in September 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at the City of Issaquah, including Public Works Director, Interim Public Works Director and Acting City Engineer, and Engineering Manager, from March 2016 to September 2022. Before their time at the City of Issaquah, they served as a Senior Engineer at the Port of Seattle from April 2002 to March 2016. Starting their career at CH2M HILL, they worked there for a significant amount of time, from June 1977 to March 2002, in roles such as Senior Technologist and Division Manager.

Robert York holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University. Robert also earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware. In terms of additional certifications, Robert has obtained the ENVISION SUSTAINABILITY PROFESSIONAL (SP) certification from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure in November 2017. Additionally, they have acquired the ENVISION Sustainable Professional (SP) certification from the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure in the same month and year. Furthermore, Robert holds the Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification in Civil Engineering from the State of Washington.
