Amir Malik

Amir Malik is an experienced compliance professional and attorney with a diverse background in public service and civil rights advocacy. Currently serving as Compliance Manager for the City of Bloomington, MN, Amir develops a compliance division focused on implementing the Earned Sick and Safe Time Ordinance. Prior to this role, Amir worked as a Senior Investigator for the City of Minneapolis, investigating labor standard violations, and as Civil Rights Director for CAIR-MN, leading legal operations for the Muslim community. Amir's earlier experience includes positions as a Coordinator at King Fahd University and Taibah University, as well as litigation practice at Milbank LLP. Amir holds a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
