Booker Hodges, DPA, currently serves as the Chief of Police for the City of Bloomington, MN, overseeing daily operations of a leading police department since April 2022. Additionally, Booker Hodges holds the position of National Parliamentarian for the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) and contributes as a columnist for PoliceOne. An experienced educator, Booker Hodges has been an adjunct professor at the University of Northwestern - St. Paul since January 2017. Previously, significant roles include Assistant Commissioner for the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Chief of Police for the City of Prior Lake, and Undersheriff of Administration for Ramsey County. An early career at the Dakota County Sheriff's Office included serving as a Sergeant, along with leadership as President of the NAACP from 2008 to 2013. Academic credentials include a Doctorate in Public Administration from Hamline University and a Master's Degree in Public Safety Administration from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.
