Maria Melchiorre Chudy

Maria Melchiorre Chudy currently serves as the HUD Programs Manager for the City of Buffalo, New York, since May 2022, following a role as a Paralegal at the Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency where responsibilities included writing, research, and compliance in federally assisted programs. Previous experience includes leading a project-based learning program at the University at Buffalo's Center for Urban Studies, acting as a Real Estate Paralegal at Lovallo & Williams, and working as an Immigration Legal Assistant at Serotte, Reich, Wilson, LLP. Chudy's background also includes service with City Year New York, where mentorship and lesson planning for disadvantaged children were key responsibilities. Academically, Chudy holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the State University of New York at Fredonia, alongside ongoing education at Ewha Womans University.
