Chun Nam Law is a strategic planning professional with extensive experience in urban and regional planning across various municipal roles. Currently serving as a Strategic Initiatives Planner and Civic Projects Planner with the City of Burnaby since August 2021, Chun Nam Law has been responsible for initiating feasibility studies, managing consultants, and leading public consultations to address community needs. Previously, Chun Nam Law worked as a Senior Planner with the City of Markham, focusing on population and employment forecasting and supporting long-range planning initiatives. Additional experience includes roles as an Intermediate Planner and Planner at the Region of Peel, a Planning Data Management Technician at the City of Burlington, a Planning Intern at Halton Region and the City of Toronto, and research positions at York University and the Institute for Research & Innovation in Sustainability. Chun Nam Law holds a Master of Environmental Studies in Urban & Regional Planning from York University and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo.
