John Raymond

John Raymond is a seasoned public management professional with extensive experience in community and economic development. Currently serving as Assistant City Manager and Director of Community Development for the City of Carson, California since June 2015, John oversees multiple departments, including Planning, Building & Safety, and Rent Control, while executing significant projects such as the redevelopment of the former Cal Compact Landfill. Prior roles include Director of Community & Economic Development for the City of Palm Springs, where initiatives included creating an intracity trolley system and developing a food truck ordinance.
