Melody Segura is an experienced urban planner with a strong background in community engagement and public policy. Currently serving as an Associate Planner at the City of Cathedral City since March 2017, Melody has also held the position of Assistant Planner within the same organization. Prior experience includes a Planning Intern role at the City of Rialto from August 2015 to March 2017 and positions as a Community Organizer and Project Support Specialist at the Institute for Public Strategies from June 2013 to July 2015, where work focused on the Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Grant in San Bernardino. Melody holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley (2009-2013) and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from UC Irvine (2015-2017).
