Kayla Saikaly is an experienced healthcare advocate and youth sports coach, currently serving as Co-Founder and President of Be The Match, where efforts focus on organizing swab drives and increasing bone marrow donor registrations since September 2016. Kayla also contributes to the Mobile Clinic Project at UCLA as a Referral Caseworker starting in June 2017, and has been a Youth Sports Head Coach for the City of Cerritos since 2012, coaching children in various sports. Clinical experience includes working as a Clinical Observer at Kaiser Permanente in 2017, where interactions with patients in pediatric hematology and oncology were informed by personal experiences as a cancer survivor. Research experience includes a role as a Research Associate at City of Hope’s T Cell Therapeutics Research Lab in 2016. Kayla’s academic background includes a degree from UCLA, completed in 2019, following high school graduation from Gretchen Whitney High School in 2015.
