Katie Sears, CPRP, brings extensive experience in community recreation and event coordination, currently serving as Special Events Coordinator and Program Coordinator for the City of Chamblee since April 2018. Prior roles include Programs Leader at the City of Hapeville Recreation, where Katie developed programs for various demographics, and Recreation Center Leader at the City of Brookhaven, assisting in program development and event planning. Notable earlier experience includes a Guest Programs Team Specialist position at the Georgia Aquarium, focusing on guest engagement and conservation education, and internships in activity planning and customer service. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Leisure Studies from UGA Mary Frances Early College of Education and The University of Georgia.
