Tim Smith

Tim Smith currently serves as a Police RMS DB Admin/RMS Developer at METCAD 9-1-1 within the City of Champaign, handling Tyler Enterprise Public Safety systems and legacy data conversions since June 2021. Additionally, Tim Smith has been involved with the City of Urbana, Illinois, in a role related to ARMS since December 2018. Prior to these positions, Tim Smith accumulated extensive experience at Hobbico from January 1984 to April 2018, advancing through various roles including Vice President of the Retail Division and Sr. Director of Retail Information Systems, successfully managing multi-million dollar operations, developing digital sales strategies, and optimizing IT processes. Earlier experience includes a Programmer Analyst role at Tower Hobbies and a Programmer/Analyst Consultant position at Helix Data Systems, with a strong educational background in Information Technology from Parkland College.
