Tahira Baig

Tahira Baig, MPA, serves as the Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Administration for the City of Chicago since May 2019, bringing extensive experience in finance management. Prior to this role, Tahira held the position of Director of Finance at the same city department and worked as a Finance Officer for the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events from October 2012 to May 2019. Tahira's career in the City of Chicago began in 2001 with positions as a Staff Assistant and Senior Data Entry Operator until October 2012. Tahira holds a Master of Public Administration in Public Management from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Northeastern Illinois University.
