Chief Of Police at City of Citrus Heights

Alex Turcotte has a long history of work in law enforcement. Alex started their career as a Police Officer in the City of Ventura in 2001 and worked there until 2006. In 2006, they joined the City of Citrus Heights as a Police Officer and later worked their way up to the positions of Police Sergeant, where they supervised various assignments including Patrol, Gangs/Narcotics, and SWAT, and Police Lieutenant, where they served as the SWAT Executive Officer and focused on developing crime reduction strategies. Alex then became a Police Commander in 2018 and most recently, in September 2021, they were promoted to the role of Chief of Police for the City of Citrus Heights.

Alex Turcotte has a diverse education history. In 2001, they began their education at the California Police Officer Standards and Training, where they obtained an Advanced Certificate in Law Enforcement Operations. Alex continued their studies at Columbia Southern University from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections. In the same year, they also completed a Graduate program at the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute, focusing on Law Enforcement Leadership. Moving forward, from 2013 to 2015, they pursued a Management Certificate in Law Enforcement Management at the California Police Officer Standards and Training. Later, in 2014, Turcotte enrolled at Columbia Southern University once again, this time to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management, which they completed in 2015. Finally, in 2016 and 2017, they attended the Command College, California Police Officer Standards and Training, specializing in Law Enforcement Executive Training.
