Matthew J. Cole

Matthew J. Cole currently serves as the Director of Human Resources for the City of Cleveland - City Hall, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Matthew J. Cole spent two decades at the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission, where roles included Director of Administration and Director of Human Resources, alongside various managerial positions in human resources and employment relations. Additional experience includes leadership in educational advisory roles at Sacred Heart of Jesus Academy and Saint Gregory the Great. Early career involved human resources and enforcement roles at Cuyahoga County. Matthew J. Cole holds a Master's degree in Labor Relations and Human Resources and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Criminal Justice, both from Cleveland State University, as well as a high school diploma from Saint Ignatius High School.
