Kahlil Seren is an experienced public servant and educator currently serving as the Mayor of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, since February 2015, after holding positions as City Council Vice President and Vice Mayor. Seren's extensive background includes a role as a Policy Advisor for Cuyahoga County, where expertise encompassed education, workforce development, and economic policies, as well as an appointment as an Adjunct Professor at Notre Dame College teaching Public Finance. Previous experience includes serving as Communications Coordinator at Policy Matters Ohio and a correspondence aide in Mayor Jane Campbell's office. Seren holds a Master of Science in Urban Studies with a specialization in Law and Public Policy, alongside a Graduate Certificate in Urban Economic Development, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Political Science, all from Cleveland State University.
