Kristine Githara

Kristine Githara is currently working as the Finance Director for the City of Columbia Government, starting in March 2022. Prior to this role, they were the Deputy Finance Director for the City of Littleton from September 2020 to March 2022. From November 2006 to September 2020, they worked as the Manager of Accounting for Cherry Creek Schools. Kristine also served as an Internal Auditor for Aurora Public Schools from April 2006 to November 2006. In addition, they have experience as a Senior Auditor at Grant Thornton LLP from November 2004 to April 2006 and as a Senior Accountant at Virchow Krause from 2002 to 2004.

Kristine Githara attended Marquette University from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Prior to their university education, they completed their high school education from 1993 to 1997. In 2002, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from the institution in Colorado.
