Andrea Jacobs

Andrea Jacobs is a seasoned professional in Geographic Information Systems with extensive experience gained since November 2018 as the GIS Manager for the City of Concord, where previous roles included GIS Analyst and GIS Intern. Prior to this, Andrea worked as a Research Assistant at Santa Cruz Biotechnology from October 2012 to June 2017, and gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Department of Biological Sciences from April 2010 to May 2011. Additional experience includes a Summer Program Student position at UC Davis Bodega Marine Lab in 2010. Andrea holds an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science from Diablo Valley College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, focusing on Marine Biology and Fisheries, from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Education also includes studies at San Francisco State University and ongoing enrollment at Cabrillo College.
