Madeline Smith

Madeline Smith is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in budget management and financial reporting. Currently serving as Finance Manager for the City of Coronado since May 2022, Madeline oversees an annual budget of nearly $105 million and leads the Finance/Accounting/Payroll Division. Prior roles include Finance & HR Director for Lakeside Fire Protection District, Principal Management Analyst for the City of Chula Vista, and various financial positions within the County of San Diego, including Senior Accountant and Accountant. Madeline’s expertise encompasses federal and state grant management, budget analysis, and investment transactions. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Forensic Science from National University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Miami University.
