Ron Branigan

Ron Branigan has extensive experience in law enforcement and risk management. Currently serving as a Risk Manager for the City of Council Bluffs since October 2023, Ron transitioned from a long-standing career at the Council Bluffs Police Department, where employment spanned from April 1991 to September 2023. During this tenure, Ron held various roles, including Police Detective in the Criminal Investigations Division, Patrol Officer in the Uniform Division, and School Resource Officer at Kirn Jr High School. Ron began as a Reserve Police Officer in 1991, becoming a full-time certified officer after attending the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in 1995. Prior to their law enforcement career, Ron worked as a Corporate Security Officer at Mutual of Omaha from 1990 to 1995.
