Dan Olson

City Planner at City of Crystal

Dan Olson is an experienced city planner with a diverse background in urban planning and development. Currently serving as the City Planner for the City of Crystal since May 2015, Dan Olson is the primary contact for current and long-range planning initiatives. Previous roles include Land Use Planner for the State of Minnesota's Department of Natural Resources, Associate Planner for the City of Woodbury, and Project Planner for the City of Chestermere. Dan Olson also has extensive experience as a City Planner in Northfield and Golden Valley, where responsibilities included managing land development regulations and preparing reports for city meetings. Dan Olson holds a Master’s degree in Urban Studies/Public Administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Minnesota.
