John Spriggins

John Spriggins is an experienced arts and cultural leader, currently serving as the General Manager of the South Dallas Cultural Center for the City of Dallas since August 2017, where responsibilities include budget management, staff oversight, and strategic planning. With a background in art consultancy and education, John's roles have included serving as a voting member of the Public Arts Committee and previously as Gallery Director at Richland College, where John coordinated public art installations and gallery exhibitions. As Interim Curator of Exhibitions at the African American Museum in Dallas, John developed significant community partnerships and successfully organized various exhibitions. John's academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Humanities/Aesthetic Studies from The University of Texas at Dallas and dual Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
