Ryan Johnson

Ryan Johnson has a diverse work experience, starting in 2001 as a Construction Trainer/Superintendent at Kennedy Homes until 2008. Ryan then worked as a Sales & Marketing Representative at Servpro from 2008 to 2010. After that, they joined Heritage Crystal Clean as a Field Support Services employee from 2010 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Community Development Intern at the Village of Lincolnwood. Ryan then moved on to be a Management Intern at the City of Des Plaines between 2015 and 2016. Following that, they worked as a Management Analyst at the Village of Hoffman Estates from 2016 to 2022. Currently, they are the Assistant Director of Community and Economic Development at the City of Des Plaines, starting in 2022.

Ryan Johnson has a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in City Management from Northern Illinois University. Ryan also has a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science & German from the same university. Additionally, they have studied at Salzburg College and participated in the Congress-Bundestag Exchange program, although the specific degrees or fields of study for these experiences are unknown.
