David Sernick has a diverse work experience that includes roles such as Director of ARPA Finance and Strategy for the City of Detroit, Managing Consultant at Guidehouse, Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, Sales and Marketing Manager at Second Stage Theatre, Founder of Sernick Strategies, and various marketing and producing roles at theater companies such as MCC Theater, Signature Theatre Company, The Flea Theater, and New Light Theater Project. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in finance, strategy, consulting, marketing, and project management.
David Sernick holds a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development from the University of Michigan, which they obtained between 2019 and 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Public Policy degree in Management and Social Policy at the University of Michigan from 2018 to 2020. David earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Drama from Indiana University Bloomington between 2006 and 2010. Additionally, during this time, they obtained a Certificate in Arts Administration from the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
