Jason Cotton

Jason Cotton is an experienced law enforcement professional with a robust background in criminal investigations, training, and community policing. Currently serving as a Detective for the City of East Lansing since February 2019, Jason Cotton has honed skills in interviews, interrogations, and various law enforcement instruction, including use of force and crisis intervention techniques. Prior experience includes roles at Capital Region International Airport as a Police/Firefighter/Medical/Security & Operations officer, and a Deputy Sheriff in Kent County, among other security-focused positions. Jason Cotton is a graduate of the Mid-Michigan Police Academy and holds an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Lansing Community College.
