Roderick Jones, Ph.D., serves as a City Council Member for the City of Eau Claire since June 2021, while also holding the position of Associate Professor of Special Education and Inclusive Practices and Co-Chair of the Center for Racial and Restorative Justice at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire since June 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Math Teacher, Subject Area Leader, and ESE Teacher in Hillsborough County Public Schools from July 2016 to June 2019, and various teaching and administrative roles within the District School Board of Pasco County from August 2001 to July 2016. Roderick Jones contributed to education policy through internships with the Office of Student Support Programs and Services and the Government Relations of Florida Schools Boards Association, and has been involved in fostering academic readiness among students as an instructor in the College Reach Out Program at Pasco-Hernando State College. Roderick Jones holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of South Florida, alongside a Master's in Educational Leadership and Administration and a Bachelor's in Exceptional Student Education from the same institution.
