Jessica Contreras has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Jessica has been working at The City of Encinitas since 2018, starting as an Information Technology Operations and Engineering Supervisor and currently serving as the Chief Information Officer and IT Director. Prior to that, they worked as an IT Project Manager at The City of Encinitas from 2011 to 2018. Before joining The City of Encinitas, Jessica worked at City of Temecula as an IT Applications Administrator and Deputy Director from 2004 to 2011. Jessica'searlier roles include working as a Sr. Process Engineer at Cymer from 1999 to 2004, a Chemical Engineer at BOC Edwards from 1997 to 1999, and a Resident Capital Projects Engineer at 3M from 1994 to 1997.

Jessica'sdedication to continuous learning led their to Stanford University, where they obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity Fundamentals from 2005 to 2007.
