Matthew Malone

Matthew Malone, GISP, serves as the Geographic Information Systems Coordinator for the City of Farmington Hills, Michigan, since December 2004, where responsibilities include managing GIS applications, geospatial data, and developing public-facing GIS applications. Concurrently, Matthew works as a Weather Forecaster for Great Lakes Weather & Climate, LLC, contributing to meteorological analysis for a substantial online community. Previous experience includes a role as GIS Coordinator for Grand Blanc Township and adjunct lecturer at the University of Michigan-Flint. Matthew's early career involved significant contributions as Assistant Director/GIS Analyst at the Center for Applied Environmental Research and as a Geography Intern for the National Geographic Society. Educational credentials include a Certificate of Achievement in Weather Forecasting from Penn State University, a Master's degree with honors in Resource Development from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor’s degree, Cum Laude, in Geography and Earth Science from Western Michigan University.
