Greg Hansen

Greg Hansen has served as the Mayor of Ferndale, Washington, since January 2016, alongside a role as a City Councilperson, contributing to municipal governance. With extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Greg Hansen has been the Hospitality and Tourism Program Coordinator and Instructor at Whatcom Community College since 2006. Previous positions include Manager at Giuseppe's Italian Restaurant (2003-2007) and several roles at Semiahmoo Resort, Golf, and Spa from 1996 to 2003, culminating as the Director of Food and Beverage. Early career experience includes food and beverage management at Wyndham Worldwide (1993-1996) and at The Inn at Semiahmoo (1987-1992). Academic credentials include a Master's degree in History and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Education, Social Studies and Political Economy, all from Western Washington University.
