Justin Brügger has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Justin started as an intern at Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2001. After that, they worked for the City of Broken Arrow as a Lifeguard and Recreation Assistant, then as a Pool Manager, and finally as an Aquatics Supervisor. In 2002, they joined the City of Fort Wayne as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of Public Works and Utilities. During their time there, they also served as Clerk to the Board of Public Works and later as Neighborhood Specialist/Citizens' Advocate. In 2005, they became a Program Manager for Capital Project Services, and in 2008, they were promoted to Senior Program Manager - Long-Term Control Plan Administration. In 2012, they became a Senior Program Manager - Engineering and Long-Term Control Plan Administration. In 2014, they briefly served as Executive Director of the Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission before becoming Chief Financial Officer - City Utilities in 2016. Throughout their career, Justin has also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at Purdue University Fort Wayne in the Public Administration and Finance department.
Justin Brügger began their education at St. Gregorys University, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree from 1998 to 2000. Justin then enrolled at the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Public Management from 2000 to 2001. Justin furthered their education at the same institution and earned a Master of Public Management degree in Public Administration and Policy from 2004 to 2007. In 2013, they attended Ball State University to complete the Indiana Economic Development Course.
