Thomas Bulten

Thomas Bulten is an engineering assistant at the City of Grand Rapids. Thomas has also worked as a project manager, executive director, adjunct professor, and project developer. In their previous positions, they have led teams of volunteers, managed programs with annual funding over $100,000, taught World Regional Geography, and promoted neighborhood development. Thomas received their master’s degree in Geography and Urban Studies from Michigan State University in 1999.

Thomas Bulten has a Master of Arts in Geography and Urban Studies from Michigan State University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a civil concentration from Calvin University. Thomas is also certified from the League of American Bicyclists as a League Cycling Instructor.

They are on a team with Linda Cowdin - Customer Services Specialist, Lindsay Sagorski Munsell - Project Engineer, and James Parr - Engineering Assistant II. Thomas Bulten reports to Arden Postma, Hydraulic Engineer.
