Sara Taliaferro

Sara Taliaferro is an administration intern with the City of Grandview, focusing on the city budget and housing policy since May 2022. As the sole proprietor of Happy Beetle Studio since May 2003, Sara also serves as a scientific illustrator. Sara held the position of past president for the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators, contributing to strategic planning initiatives since August 2020. Earlier roles include illustrator for the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators from 1997 to 2012, membership secretary for the Lawrence Art Guild from 2005 to 2009, and scientific illustrator for the University of Kansas Museum of Natural History and Biodiversity Research Center from 1996 to 2003. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Public Administration from The University of Kansas, certification in Advanced Civic Engagement from Pepperdine University, and a Master's in Botany/Genetics from The University of Kansas.
