Jon Walker

Jon Walker is an experienced city administrator currently serving as the City Administrator for the City of Gulf Shores since December 2023. Previously, Jon held the position of City Manager for the City of Chamblee from May 2016 to November 2023, where supervision of daily operations and strengthening fiscal policies led to a notable AA+ credit rating. Jon's career includes significant roles such as Interim City Administrator for multiple cities, Vice President of Client Programs & Services for SAFEbuilt, and City Manager for Jonesboro, where foundational policies for professional government operations were created. An educational background that includes an MPA in Urban Administration and a degree in Public Relations/Advertising from The University of Georgia complements years of experience in municipal management and economic development initiatives.
