Toby Barker

Toby Barker is the 35th Mayor of Hattiesburg, currently serving since July 2017. In addition to this role, Barker has been an Account Executive at Barker Advertising since January 2012, specializing in advertising, media buying, and social media strategy. From January 2008 to July 2017, Barker served as State Representative for House District 102, where significant contributions included chairing the Performance Based Budgeting Committee and holding leadership positions on various health and education committees. Notably, Toby Barker was the first Millennial elected to the Mississippi Legislature. Educational accomplishments include a Master's degree in Healthcare Leadership from Brown University and degrees in Economic Development and Communications from The University of Southern Mississippi.
