Monique Alaniz-Flejter

Monique Alaniz-Flejter, AICP, currently serves as the Community Development Director for the City of Hemet, a position held since May 2020, after progressing through roles such as Principal Planner and Senior Planner. Prior to this, Monique was an Associate Planner for the City of Laguna Beach from July 2015 to May 2020 and held the position of Development Project Specialist in the City of Peoria, Arizona, from October 2007 to July 2015. Monique's early career included roles as an Associate Planner in the City of Mesa and as an Assistant Planner in the City of Glendora. An initial internship took place at the City of Fontana. Monique holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Western International University and a BA in Public Administration from California State University-San Bernardino.
