Loryn Rader

Loryn Rader is a Geographic Information Systems Analyst and Water Quality Technician at the City of Hickory since April 2021, focusing on ensuring quality drinking water for over 100,000 taps in Catawba and Alexander counties through regular testing and customer response. Prior experience includes serving as a Resident Assistant at Appalachian State University from July 2017 to May 2019 and as a Biological Technician with the U.S. Forest Service during the summer of 2014. Loryn Rader holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis on Evolution, Ecology, and Environmental studies from Appalachian State University, completed in 2019.
