Jalete J.

Jalete J. currently serves as a City Councilor for the City of Homewood, Alabama, overseeing Ward 4/Place 2 and participating in the Public Safety, Public Works, and Planning and Development committees. In addition to this role, Jalete J. operates as a Community Engagement and Media Relations Consultant for BusinessWorks, LLC, providing training for candidates in media presentation and written communication. Past experience includes serving as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Children's Harbor, where responsibilities included executing media relations strategies and acting on behalf of the CEO. Jalete J. has also held positions as the Director of Donor Relations at Birmingham-Southern College, as well as an Alumni Affairs Specialist and Program Coordinator at the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Collat School of Business. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Speech from the University of Montevallo and a High School Diploma in Dance from the Alabama School of Fine Arts.
