Rhea Cooper

Rhea Cooper has an extensive work experience in the field of fire department operations. Rhea recently served as the Interim Fire Chief at the City of Horseshoe Bay, Texas starting in July 2023. Prior to that, they were the Fire Chief at the Brenham Fire Department from May 2021 to October 2021. From July 2018 to May 2021, Rhea held the position of Assistant Chief at the Moffat Fire Department. Rhea also served as the Battalion Chief - Training Division at the Morgan's Point Resort Fire Department from October 2018 to February 2020. Before these roles, they worked as the Assistant Chief Regional Fire Coordinator - North Branch at the Texas A&M Forest Service from January 2012 to July 2018. Rhea's early career started at the City of Lubbock, where they served as the Fire Chief from July 1978 to December 2009.

Rhea Cooper has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Occupational Education/Fire Science from Wayland Baptist University. Additionally, Rhea has completed training in Executive Fire Officer from the National Fire Academy.
